Depression Anxiety & Stress

Loneliness

Depression is often categorised as something associated with being weak or it’s not real. It’s seen as a sign of lethargy or laziness. However, people going through depression feel that they can’t do anything, can’t move, can’t focus, can’t think clearly. Often we hear about there being a feeling of having a “foggy” or non-responsive brain. Depression is not a sign of being weak or lazy, on the contrary it is often associated with being too strong for too long.

How long have you been carrying that load and why do you still carry it? What will you do to get rid of that burden? You aren’t depressed while you’re asleep so something must trigger you into feeling depressed. What is it that triggers you? What is the first thing that lets you know that you are starting to be depressed, is it something you see, something you hear or something you think? This is the trigger and what happens next is the series of events/actions that lead you to being depressed.

This can all be changed simply and there are a number of NLP and Time Line techniques that we can employ to change how we react to the triggers and event sequences. These techniques can disable the triggers and interrupt the pattern of events which gives you back control over how you choose to feel.
